BASRaT is the UK regulator for Sport Rehabilitation Graduates and guides Sport Rehabilitators on all
aspects of their role and responsibilities ensuring professional competency and continued professional
development. Sport Rehabilitators on the BASRaT register have to adhere to a strict code of ethics, conduct
and professional practice. All registered Sport Rehabilitators have comprehensive insurance, a current first
aid qualification and follow strict standards for the management of medical records and appropriate referral
to other members of the healthcare team.

Professional Standards Authority Accreditation

The Professional Standards Authority accredits BASRaT and other registers so you can be confident when
choosing a healthcare practitioner. The Authority makes sure that the public is protected when choosing
healthcare services by independently assessing organisations that register practitioners who work both
within and outside the NHS.

Accredited registers help people to get better care by ensuring that the health practitioners they
register are competent and trustworthy. Accredited registers work alongside employers, commissioners,
local authorities, patient and consumer protection agencies as part of a quality assurance network:

Accredited Registers are part of a professional community that works to high standards and policies.
The quality mark ensures commitment to public safety that has been verified by the PSA.
